2013 Grasp Technologies Sales Up 50%, Proposes Bold Roadmap for the Future

Taps Industry Veteran, Joe Monaghan, as New VP of Consulting Services

San Diego, January 15, 2014 – Grasp Technologies posted record growth for the 7th year in a row, growing by over 50% in 2013.  “We saw broad increases in all areas of our business from our Core Agency Sales Unit to a record setting year in both our Enterprise and International Units,” said VP/CSO, Dave Lukas.  “But what is most important to us is that we received our highest client satisfaction scores to date with an over 97% satisfaction rate.”

Grasp also proposed a bold roadmap for its future including the release of multiple entirely new platforms and new technology that has yet to be seen in the industry.  When asked about the future, Grasp founder and CEO, Erik Mueller, stated, “We have been working behind the scenes on a number of new technologies; Smart Technologies that will change the way T&E spend is managed and allow our clients to be even more proactive than they are now in this area.  We are also tapping into the real power of Big Data with our clients to allow them to provide real value-added consulting service to their customers.”

Grasp also recently hired industry veteran, Joe Monaghan, as their new SVP of Consulting Services.  Monaghan brings over 24-years of industry experience both as a travel manager and as a technology development visionary. His expertise in the practical application of technology in Corporate Travel, Commercial Payment Systems, and B2B e-Commerce has been applauded by the industry as “best practices.”  Long an advocate of consolidated global card and travel data, Joe believes strongly in the importance of accurate, timely information as the basis for an intelligent management sourcing and decision process.

Prior to joining Grasp Technologies, Joe was President of the Monaghan Group, a successful travel consulting organization, a Senior Vice President at WorldTravel BTI (now BCD Travel) and American Express where held various positions in brand management, product positioning and technology business development for Amex Corporate Services covering P-Card, T&E Card, Travel, Web Based Applications and B2B e-Commerce.
