Jennifer Vecchi in Discussing Rewarding the Effort, Not the Result

Jennifer Vecchi runs the Incentives division of Atlas Travel International’s Meetings + Incentives segment.  She is also a regular contributor to the website dedicated to HR professionals and managers and helping them to become better HR managers and bosses.

THIS article discusses the fact that a company rewards system tends to focus on the results, but not the process.  And for some, especially when it comes to sales, this is the wrong way to motivate people.  It is a fascinating analysis and suggests a profound change  in the way businesses handle their workforce.
