Combining Your Personal Social Media ID and Your Work Social Media ID

There are a lot of people out there who single-handedly run the social media program for their companies.  In some cases, their social media names, particularly on Twitter, combine their real name and the name of the company they are working for.  Is that combination of their personal social media identity and their work social media identity a good thing?

THIS article from takes a look at the pros and cons of doing that.  There are some who think it is a tremendous benefit, but there are those who have been sued for being too close to the company when they were Tweeting as themselves.
