What Do You Do with Bad Publicity? Acknowledge or Ignore?

An interesting article here from Ragan Communications that looks at both sides of bad publicity.  In this case, a number of businesses that ended up on a list of “Most -Hated” companies.  These are definitely companies you have heard of, like Facebook, Johnson & Johnson, Bank of America and Netflix, to name a few.

What do you do if you end up on a list like this, or if you end up in the press for ANY bad publicity?  This article looks at both sides of acknowledging and ignoring it: http://ragan.com/Main/Articles/44301.aspx

Has your company ever ended up on the wrong end of PR?  Maybe not a word-of, or most-hated, list, but somewhere else?  How did you handle it?  Did you acknowledge it?  How would you advise these companies?  Leave us a comment below.
