District Governor Elect Cliff Lyda is hosting the April 20 District Assembly to prepare Presidents-Elect, Treasurers, Secretaries, and other Club leaders to assume their positions on July 1. There are new tools from Rotary International and District 6450 to help clubs run more smoothly. If you want to learn how to simplify your job as a club board member, administrator or committee chair and also shorten the time it takes to do that job, sign up now for District Assembly Saturday, April 20. There will be a continental breakfast starting at 8 am and a short plenary session starting at 8:30 at the Quality Inn in Burr Ridge. Then we will get into the nuts and bolts of running your club and working with volunteers (aka leading leaders).
PE’s, secretaries and treasurers will get intensive training and will have the opportunity to get your questions answered about Member Access, Rotary Club Central, reporting procedures, and how to use your website to make the administration of your club easier. Bring your laptop, tablet or smartphone and make sure you know your logins for Member Access and your club website. This will be a hands on, interactive session.
Other club board members and committee chairs will receive practical instruction on how to work with volunteers. There will also be a session on how to analyze your fundraising efforts to help make them more relevant to your community and how to promote your fundraisers and community projects through social media.
